About This Data

Where the information on Travel Vaccine Map comes from, how it is kept current, and how you can help keep it accurate.

Why this site exists

Travel Vaccine Map exists because I wished it did.

I'm Wyatt — an avid traveler, and an Occupational First Aid Level 3 responder (not a doctor, and this site isn't a substitute for one). Every time I planned a trip, I'd end up with a dozen browser tabs open — CDC, WHO, government travel advisories, forum threads, half-remembered advice from other travelers — trying to piece together what I actually needed before I left. It always felt like this information should be in one place, free, and easy to actually use. So I built it.

How this site works

Travel Vaccine Map aggregates and organizes publicly available travel health guidance from official sources — primarily the CDC's Travelers' Health program, the World Health Organization's International Travel & Health guidance, and NaTHNaC's TravelHealthPro. I use a combination of manual research and AI-assisted tools to compile, structure, and keep this data current across every country on the map — but the underlying information itself comes directly from those official public health sources, not from personal medical opinion.

This site does not provide medical advice. It's a starting point — a way to walk into a conversation with a travel health professional or GP already knowing what questions to ask, not a replacement for that conversation.

How often it's updated

Country data is reviewed on a quarterly basis, with updates made sooner when official guidance changes — for example, following a CDC travel notice or a shift in outbreak status.

Always consult a professional

Always consult a qualified travel health professional or your doctor before travel, especially if you have existing health conditions, are pregnant, or are traveling with children.
